The ball has started rolling and it's rolling downhill full force, nothing will slow it down.

Approximately 1:00 I as I go over the songs that I would be recording the next day I decided to pester Tai by texting him and asking him about his thoughts on a few specific things in relation to the songs. I like knowing exactly what I am/will be doing as it is always good to be prepared. When I write a song I make sure that I time every chorus/verse to make sure that it matches perfectly with the instrumental. Some would refer to me as a perfectionist, I don't believe so but I do like things to be how I set them out to be so maybe there is an element of truth in the statement. I ended up getting to bed at 2:30 and then later on around 5:00am I was infuriatingly whisked away from my dream by the Dj Cleo's Facebook track (my ringtone), if you know me then you know I love my house music. Anyway 8:30when my alarm clock rang, I had my shower got ready and organised my bag, made sure that I had everything that I needed (my purse, mini make up bag, note pad, 3 pens, umbrella and my scarf - it's getting cold here now so you always have to be prepared). I got to the train station on time, I had checked the train times the night before so I knew exactly which trains I would be getting on (I believe it is better to know your train times than to just get to the station hoping a train comes and then being late and causing inconveniences in terms of studio time and all). I got to Wolverhampton train-station and we made our way to the studio (had to got a bus after getting the train, my tickets where in my purse the zip fell off and I began to panic as the tickets where basically "zipped in", I really didn't want to be late somehow but lucky enough, Tai  managed to open the little compartment which had the tickets and I was saved. We arrived at the studio a few minutes early and Tai joked about "black people time". We got there, I had my water as we ran through what I'd be recording today with Kulez. He understood everything so I got into the booth and did what I was born to do, one thing I have learnt today is that I need to learn how harmonize PROPERLY I find it a little challenging when it comes to harmonizing because of the fact that when you are in the process of writing, you sing the track to yourself over and over again and you know how it is so it's quite difficult to think of harmonies when you only have 1 mouth (I hope you understand what I am saying you can only sing one bit and you won't know how it will sound meshed together). So anyway, we recorded the last verse of the Mad Army Riddim, which we decided to call Hapana Chekumirira last time we recorded, it is complete and was officially released on the Zimall Stars page today (just had to add the verse in and a few finishing touches). I received great feedback from the individuals that listened to the song which I am incredibly grateful for, people are always busy so it's great for someone to take the time to click play and actually concentrate on YOUR VOICE for a certain amount of time, even if it is just a minute. So yeah, we then recorded my other new track I won't tell you much about it, wouldn't want to ruin the surprise but it's like I am telling a story, from Hapana Chekumirira (Nothing to wait for) to We Are Rising. It's different to some of the things that people usually listen to e.g pop e.t.c. We actually finished approximately 30 minutes before the expected time so Tai told me that some dj's needed some jingles so we recorded those. King Alfred is more of a dancehall dj but I am pretty sure he plays music of different genres aswell so I had to put on a kind of patois-ISH accent for the jingle for his show, I did it and as soon as Kulez played it back I told Tai straight away that I didn't like it "I sound like a boy" where my exact words, Tai's response was complete laughter - he waved it off and said that it was ok, I listened to it again and it didn't sound as bad so we called it a wrap. One thing I really like about Kulez is that he is incredibly effiicient he does the mixing and the technical stuff as you record so you go home at the end of your session with your song/songs. He has also assisted me on occasion when doing some harmonies as-well which is incredibly beneficial, I would call him a music engineer, he most definitely knows what he is doing so any advice off him is good. But in general, today was a great productive day I enjoyed it and as I record I am obviously practicing my skills, my father always tells me that practise makes perfect so I guess I am building my way up to perfection, each step is a step forward.

Why would I click publish post when I haven't added the last and most important detail. Tai rang me around 8:00 and i could hear my song being played, then I heard King Alfred's voice! WOOOW, my COMPLETED song was played on Jamrockradio.com I was just OVERLY ecstatic as you can only imagine. Zimonlineradio was supposed to be playing some tracks as-well and I was aware of the fact that one of my tracks where supposed to be played tonight but I just didn't know which one so anyway, I locked into Zimonlineradio.com at approximately 11:00 and I actually like it, there is A LOT of music being played of different genres actually heard a track by the famous Lady Bee's younger sister I LOVEDDD it I actually thought it was Lady Bee at the start as I heard her signature "MURUUUUUUUUUUUME" lol, I swear every time I hear that, I get a shiver travelling down my spine. So anyway, my Platforms track was played I really didn't expect it to be played as I recorded it a while I go but I guess it's a good thing it obviously can't be that bad. - Anyway, I am sooo tired and I really should LOCK OFF now, until next time...

Thank you for reading my blog people, hope you enjoyed. Peace Love and Blessings..x Quein
