Archbishop who?
As I was at college rigorously typing out some work I received a text, I tried my best to refrain my fingers from opening the text but I failed. It was a friend of mine. He told me that we where going to be performing later on in the day. I then went and spoke to Miss **** she told me that we would infact be singing at 11:50, when she closed her mouth, I started to worry about my outfit, I was not aware of the fact that we would be performing, hence me not bringing my "choir-kit" anyway, lesson finishes and I walk to the ground-floor area where we were going to meet all of the members came and we got into our places. I happened to over-hear someone as they mentioned who we where going to perform for, bearing in mind the fact that I had not been to choir practise in over 3 weeks and I didn't really know the lyrics that well because of obvious reasons. Anyway we waited, waited, waited and waited. Then the Archbishop finally came out with his entourage, Miss **** made her signals and we all broke out into song at once, it was in an open area so as you could imagine, our lovely voices bounced off the walls and we aced the performance even though I was totally un-prepared for the performance. When we had finished singing, a woman painfully strutted her stuff then thanked Archbishop Longley for blessing the college and what not, I personally feel that it was INCREDIBLY long winded, it seemed like she had speaking for 30 hours. Anyway the Archbishop sprinkled the holy water and drenched a member of the choir with holy water, I am sure she will blessed for a few years to come. I personally not a very religious individual and I am not catholic, I am Anglican, if you don't know what that is, I am sure that you can search it up on google. The Archbishop then spoke to me as we where waiting to get some pictures taken (which didn't end up happening), before today I didn't actually know who he was or that he existed but I must say that he seems like a very nice person, incredibly pleasant and he does certainly hold a good conversation I must admit that I found it a little entertaining that he thought both of my names where ONE NAME lol. I think that this was a great experience, I probably would never have met him if it wasn't for this as I previously stated that I am not an incredibly religious person and this is why I say it is great to take opportunities as they only come once, sometimes you just have to dip your toes in foreign waters because you never know where it will take you. I really don't think that he will be reading this blog but I just wanted to take the time to thank you for blessing our college and your participation in the formation of our college. It was lovely meeting and doing lunch with you, your grace.
Thanks for reading my blog people..x Quein
